On average, seven weapons a day were seized, and 83% of them were charged.
The seizures occurred in 236 US airports , 12 more than the previous year, and more were recorded activity of Dallas , in Texas, with 153 guns, followed by Atlanta (Georgia), with 144 and Houston, also in Texas, with 100 weapons seized.
The increase in weapons seizures must, according to the TSA, the best training of security personnel at airports, each year improving protocols in the control points.
